The
Cousins (1990)
Jenny and Jessica are cousins who are opposites. They are
best friends, and accept each other in spite of their differences.
Like granny smith apples, they are “one of a kind.”
My sister Bara’s daughter Jessica was very different
from Jenna. I tried hard to stop comparing the two children,
and wrote a story fictionalizing their differences. “Like
chalk and cheese” comes from England, where I lived
for several years.
“This is one of Caseley’s
perkiest books, and her recognizable style is dressed in its
Sunday best.” --School Library Journal
